Patchwork Letters From Pella Reader Over Seas And Tulips

A Pella resident shares a long, rambling letter filled with Pacific war memories and movie talk. He mentions Walter Butt, a film about a Pella milk man, plans to see A Song to Remember, and a hope to meet friends at the theater. He muses on fashion, church behavior, a wandering mole, corn and roasting ears, and Iowa produce. He recalls Ivan’s East trip and praises Iowa farming, then shifts to tulip bulb planning with bulbs ready for next October and a call for a Tulip Time display.
