Colorado guards lead defense in Big Seven title runs
Led Colorado Lee and teammate Standulous Hank Lui setti built a defense oriented Colorado squad that captured two consecutive Big Seven titles. They then finished third in the NCAA tournament last year. Both players will watch each other in the Coaching School as Town faces Colorado in early December 1955.

Marion County Extension Becomes Independent Entity
The Marion County Extension Council held its second meeting on July 20 to transition extension work from the Marion County Farm Bureau to an independent status. No Golf Tourney At Indianola Due to Water Shortage
Indianola Amateur Golf Tournament scheduled for Sunday August 7 has been canceled because of an emergency water shortage. John Piffer, president of Indianola Country Club, announced the decision as the city council restricted outside water use. The club hopes to haul water to save greens and resume the annual event next year.
