A large Pella gathering attended the March 20 double ring ceremony for Miss Janet Kolenbrander and Mert I. De Kock at the Ver Meer home. Rev. G Menning officiated. The bride wore white satin with lace and pearls. matron of honor was Valentina Van Rheenen. Best man was Stephen De Kock. bridesmaid attire and bouquets featured peach and pink tones. A two course luncheon followed for 76 guests.

Dallas Girl Wins Marion County Spelling Contest
Artemas Davison of Dallas won the Marion County spelling contest held in the courtroom at Knoxville on Saturday afternoon. The second place winner was Marietta Schivvers of Sunnyside School, who misspelled corollaries just as Davison correctly did.

Midwest Co to Take Over One Minute Washer Plant
Federal Judge Charles A. Dewey approved a financial reorganization plan for the One Minute Washer Co of Newton Indiana. The plan provides for purchase and operation of the plant by the Midwest Metal Stamping Co of Kellogg Town. Before final confirmation, it must be approved by general unsecured creditors owed at least two thirds of the debts. The Midwest company agreed to deposit $10,000 immediately.
