Hydrogen blast injures Pecos residents at engine project
A hydrogen engine project site in Pecos was rocked by a 4:40 p.m. explosion after a gasoline motor backfired sparking a blast that blew the roof off a tin building. Five residents were burned, four adults taken to Odessa Medical Center in guarded condition and a 4 year old girl to Womens and Children’s Hospital in stable condition.

Pecos Fall Fair schedule promises food, booths, and events
Plans for the Pecos Fall Fair are underway with inside booths at 35 dollars and outside booths at 15 dollars. Festivities start noon Thursday October 7 with food booths opening and a 4 p.m. program. The schedule continues through Friday and Saturday featuring lamb weighings, barbeque contests, livestock judging, horse show, and a dance at the Posse Barn.
