Doughnut shop opens long hours in Pecos
Mr. Treat Doughnuts began in December 1978 after Jim and Betty Calhoun read a newspaper ad and bought machines and mix from Borger Texas. They produce 100 to 150 dozen doughnuts daily and plan to bake cakes soon. The shop operates 6 am to 6 pm daily except Sunday 6 am to 1 pm. closed Monday. Mrs. Calhoun oversees baking with six employees including students and DE program workers.

Odessa artist Sherry Nelson will lead a two session class at Country China Closet on Friday September 21. The program runs 9 to 12 and 1 to 4 with a $15 fee. Registration is available at the art shop on Third Street today.
