Lubbock Sniper Wounds Officer After School Shooting

Arrest of Mona doctor on narcotics charge in Pecos bond set
Dr. Lelanad Bell of Mona hans was arrested this morning on narcotic violation charges by a U.S. deputy marshal. He was arraigned in Pecos before U.S. Magistrate J.M. Preston with bond set at 350000. Bell allegedly sold phenobarbital tablets containing amphetamine to a Texas DPS Narcotics Division undercover agent. Two other doctors, one in Andrews and one in San Angelo, were arrested on similar charges and arraigned elsewhere.

Juvenile Hearing Delayed in Las Palmas Burglaries

Tractor Tire Blast Injures Dozier Co Worker
Rosario Lara Florez, an employee of Dozier Tractor Co., was injured around 11 30 this morning when a tractor tire reportedly exploded in his face. He was taken to Pecos Hospital and condition reports were unavailable at press time.

Former state attorney general Waggoner Carr testified he was at Sharpstown State Bank in 1969 to contact banking commissioner Falkner about financing a 97 percent stake in Dallas Bank & Trust.
