State spends big on Reeves County DPS presence
The Texas state spends about 98 400 to station five DPS troopers in Reeves County. Annual costs include 84 000 in salaries 9 600 in gas and oil for four cars and 4 800 maintenance. In six months the troopers collected 62 652 in fines from 954 tickets and 1 058 dispositions 953 guilty pleas and 33 243 more in fines.
