Delaware Basin Oil Roundup Ward County Well Sees Gas Flow
Humble Oil and Refining Co. No. 1 Mary W. Evans in Ward County drilled to 12 375 feet after a drillstem test produced gas at roughly 10 million cubic feet daily from 12 257 to 12 367 feet. The test showed oil and water with a 1 inch choke and water blanketing, while pressures read 5 578 to 5 567 pounds. The well sits three miles east of nearby Devonian gas production in the Block 16 multipay area near the El Cinco field in Pecos County.
