Sohio May Replug California to Texas Oil Pipeline
Standard Oil of Ohio says it may resubmit permits and revive the California to Texas pipeline, if environmental and legal barriers clear within six to nine months. Sohio chairman Alton Whitehouse and aides warn delays could bury the project as Alaska’s Prudhoe Bay output wanes. California Gov. Edmund Brown says Sohio is welcome if it acts as a good corporate citizen and cleans up pollution from the line.
