Jake L. Hamon of Dallas schedules No 2-C Noelke as an Ellenburger and Devonian probe in the Shef field Townsite Pecos County. The test location lies near section 2, block 193, TMRR, 1/2 mile south of Sheffield and 5/8 mile southeast of the Strawn gas and Connell oil opener. Initial results show gas 1.9 million cu ft daily and 10.18 barrels oil in two hours with 704 feet of 43 gravity oil recovered. The Ellenburger Ha mon No 1-C Noelke previously yielded 195.2 barrels daily from perforations at 7,949-7,985 feet.
In Pecos County Texas a wildcat 15 miles southeast of McCamey drilled to 6 077 feet on an 8000 foot contract. Test from 5820 to 5947 feet recovered 900 feet of gas and oil mud with a small amount of 36 1 gravity oil. Initial flow estimates project 3 000 feet of gas per day from No 2 Fort Stockton Dixel Resources and plans include stimulation and further testing.
Tissie Ann Elliott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wes Elliott of Balmorhea, was elected secretary of the Area II Future Homemakers Association in Big Spring. A Balmorhea High School sophomore, she is the first FHA girl from Balmorhea to hold an area office and has completed work on her junior homemaking degree.
Monday features spaghetti with meat sauce, black-eyed peas, cauliflower with cheese sauce, a fresh pear, bread, butter and milk. Tuesday offers burritos with Spanish rice, pinto beans, chocolate pie, corn bread, butter and milk. Jessie Brewer McAnally, 75, died at Providence Hospital in El Paso on Wednesday. Services set for 10 a m Saturday at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Born April 19, 1896 in Troupe, she had lived in Pecos since 1925 and belonged to the Assembly of God. Survived by two sons John G. McAnally of Monahans and Robert R. McAnally of Fort Worth, one daughter Mrs L B Cryer of El Paso, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
