Seventh list of petit jurors announced in Reeves County
The seventh list of 100 Reeves County residents chosen as possible petit jurors in 143rd District Court was released by Judge J. H. Starley. Report to court at 9 a.m. Monday, March 27, for civil jury week. list includes Reece Johnson, Dr. Bruce Hay, Mrs. Julio Salcido, Ernesto P. Hernandez, and many others from Balmorhea Toyah and nearby towns. In Austin, UT regents award a $10.7 million contract to Hunt Building Corp for the UP Permian Basin campus and issue $50 million in tuition-backed bonds for seven new campuses.

Pattee Receives Pecos Outstanding Citizen Award
The Pecos Chamber of Commerce honored James F. Pattee as Outstanding Citizen at a banquet at Pecos Valley Country Club. Pattee received the award with a standing ovation from outgoing president William R. Bickley. Balmorhea girl to give junior recital at Sul Ross
Susan Clark, 19, Balmorhea sophomore in music education, will present her junior recital at 8 15 p m Monday in Sul Ross State University main auditorium. A contralto, she performs 15 selections including folk art songs foreign language works and pieces from Jesus Christ Superstar. She aims to be a high school choir director and is the Balmorhea High School 1970 graduate, daughter of Dan and Mrs. Clark.

White Presents Coinage Bill For Bicentennial Coins
Congressman Richard C. White introduced a bill to authorize a 50 cent or one dollar commemorative coin for the 1976 bicentennial of the American Revolution.
