Pecos welcomes thousands of rodeo visitors with free street dances on Oak Street between Second and Third, Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 p m. The Sleepy Time Band of Alpine will provide music as locals and guests join in a roped-off celebration aimed at a friendly impression of Pecos. Vernon Hicks of the Legion chairs the event.
The Loving county school board advertises for bids on an eight thousand dollar addition to the local high school. Plans call for two new rooms an auditorium and two halls to be built.
The Methodist Missionary Society held a Friday social at Mrs. D. J. Hart’s home with hostesses Mrs. Hart Mrs. Dee Davis Mrs. Joe Caldwell and Mrs. G. D. Taylor. Henderson’s with a ping pong tournament and refreshments.
Hosie spent Sunday at the Cottonwood ranch with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hosie and children. Mr. and Mrs. G D Taylor and children left Wednesday for Mississippi to visit Mr. Taylor's parents.

Day two includes Abilene Big Spring Midland Pecos and Red Bluff irrigation project camp Hermosa.
