Living Life or Death Through Grace in Christ
Rev R L Scraper presents a parable of a vast farm empire halted by tragedy as a son is murdered by a manager. He frames God’s love as the answer to humanity’s rebellion, contrasting life under law with life through Jesus Christ and grace. The talk ends urging listeners to choose life in Christ over death in sin.

Bishop credits love tough love to recovery from alcoholism
Bishop Robert P. Varley of Nebraska credits his recovery from alcohol dependency to a tough minded approach he calls tough love. At 53, head of 65 parishes, he sought therapy at Hazelden in Minnesota after resisting the idea he was an alcoholic. He discovered not only alcohol dependence but also mood altering drug use dating back to 1947, and embraced withdrawal without easing meds to prove the effort could help others.
