Father and son survive light aircraft crash near Guadalupe Peak
California man Jess Tolan and his five year old son Walter escaped serious harm after their light airplane crashed on the southeast side of Guadalupe Peak between Pine Springs Canyon and Guadalupe Canyon at about 9 20 a m. Visibility was limited and cause was not disclosed. They were airlifted by MAST helicopter and taken to Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso with Tolan in guarded condition.
