House Appropriations Panel Advances $12 Billion Agriculture Bill
The House Appropriations Committee approved a $12.0 billion fiscal year 1975 bill funding agriculture environmental and consumer protection programs. It totals $2.5 billion more than last year but $22 million below Nixon’s request, with $6.2 billion for agricultural programs $932.8 million for rural development $3.1 billion for environmental protection and $2.76 billion for consumer protection and services.

First Australian nonuplets record babies die miscarry
In Sydney, a 12 ounce surviving premature boy from a set of nine newborns is the lone living infant tonight. The eighth child, a one pound girl, died with acute lung condition after early Friday birth. Of the nine, two boys were stillborn and others died over the weekend.
