Truck Fire and Pit Fire Near Coyanosa Plant
Fire units responded to a truck and pit fire at the El Paso Natural Gas Plant four miles northwest of Coyanosa Tuesday night. By 9 PM the blaze remained active but no injuries were reported and officials said it was under control. Witness Claudia Hampton said a truck driver was loading when grounding failed and an explosion occurred, but he escaped.
