Norm Cash the Comeback King Finds New Horizons
The Detroit Tigers first baseman Norman Dalton Cash, 37, stands among AL leaders in homers and batting, a testament to a hard Texas farm upbringing. He recalls an earlier season where he nearly faded, then surged back with a 30 homer, 266 average, and 32 homers in recent years. Cash plans for life after baseball, exploring country music and TV work while keeping ties to a distant farm and his Texas roots.
