The Wink combined club, once praised as the best west of Fort Worth, lost to Pecos 10 to 6 on the Wink diamond before a large crowd. Pecos jumped to an early lead with eight runs in the first four frames, then Wink rallied for four in the last inning. Pecos’s fielding miscues helped Wink but not enough to overcome the deficit as Pecos improved to 10–0 on the season.
