Divers Find Sunken Treasure From Atocha Galleon
Divers aboard the James Bay report reaching the Nuestra Señora de Atocha’s first class compartments after two weeks of work. They have recovered four gold bars a larger gold chain a gold disc an uncut amethyst and the stern anchor while narrowing the search to a 1000 by 18 yard strip about 40 miles west of Key West Florida.
