Reagan charged with keeping Nixon hostage
Oregon Governor Tom McCall accused California Governor Ronald Reagan of holding President Nixon hostage over welfare reform disputes. McCall said the fight with the Nixon administration could hurt Nixon's renomination prospects in 1972 and planned to voice his criticism to Reagan in Sacramento.
