A group of Mexican citizens were found in an abandoned trailer truck after allegedly traveling for two days without food or sanitary facilities and were placed in immigration authorities custody. The disposition is not yet known.
In Los Angeles the Sharon Tate murder trial jury entered its eighth full day of deliberation. Jurors had logged 41 hours 21 minutes of deliberations before a Sunday break, with reports that some jurors studied notes from the seven month trial of Charles Manson and three others until as late as 3 a.m. to hasten a verdict.
