Hughes loan to Nixon kin told in Irving book

Clifford Irving claims Howard Hughes lent 205600 dollars to Richard Nixon's brother Clifford in 1956. Noah Detrich says Hughes had no knowledge while Irving hints at a quid pro quo in a forthcoming tell all. Nixon and Donald Nixon deny any favors tied to the loan.

Barstow Senior Citizens Club Speaker Reverend Ford

The Rev. Clark Ford of First Christian Church Pecos will speak to Barstow Senior Citizens Club on Tuesday. The Richard Briscoe Post No. 91 American Legion meets tonight January 17 1972 at 7 30 PM at Ninth and Cedar Streets. All members urged to attend for important business. The Twentieth Century Club will not meet this week.
