Family starts exotic pet center in Royal Oak Michigan
The Vandebroek family runs the Animal Relocation Center to counsel on exotic pet care and rehome animals. They’ve placed 30 to 25 animals in six months including raccoons oppossums and coatis amid concerns over animal extinction and owner disposal. Zoo officials note the difficulty of rehoming untamed species and call the situation a tragedy with little demand for unwanted exotic pets.

Cost of buying a home may be less soon
Government backed FHA and VA loan costs could drop by 700 to 900 dollars compared with last summer as the point spread narrows. Points, charged at closing, fall from about 8 to 9.5 last year to around 4.5 now, though overall mortgage rates stay at a 7 percent ceiling. The Mortgage Bankers Association notes a third of mortgages are government backed and expects little further narrowing amid inflation fears from the federal deficit.
