Reeves County Hospital unveils new surgical and support units
The new Reeves County Hospital showcases two large operating rooms with modern anaesthesia and sterilizing facilities, a teaching section with a 30 seat classroom, and a public education program including a stop smoking course planned for late February or early March. New departments include Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Laborat ory expansion with a Gilford System 5 analyzer, bacteriology microbiology lab, and a 24 hour radiology with two x ray units. The facility also features a larger dietary area with a hospital kitchen, environmental services, plant services, materials management, medical records, and a small gift shop operated by Hospital Auxiliary volunteers.
