Evan J. Wood of Pecos won the bid to build Loving County's new courthouse and jail for 23 468 dollars. Construction starts after the year, with 120 working days planned. The project is funded by a 25 000 bond issue sold to Grady Bell of Midland. Wood donated drawings and plans to the county.
Pecos property owners must pay 1935 taxes by January 1, 1936 to avoid an eight percent penalty. City Secretary Earl Easterbrook notes the penalty applies if any portion is late, even by one day, despite a new state law reducing the rate from ten percent.

Guests included relatives and close friends as well as Betsy Ross maid of honor and Louis Lundin best man. The couple plan a Christmas themed setting and a wedding trip before settling at the dam project site.
