Pecos Barstow school officials were surprised Monday as registration counts fell 210 from 1971 72 highs. Superintendent Ray Whitley could not explain the drop from 4223 to 4013 but预计 more pupils will register. Pecos High School drop 43. many students in hallways not counted.

Park personnel move into new Carlsbad office building

An open house is scheduled for Sept 9 from 1 to 5 p.m., with a visitor information center and small auditorium to aid travelers to area parks and monuments.
