Loot Recovered After Dr Pepper Plant Burglary
Officers recovered two adding machines and a typewriter taken in a break in at the Dr Pepper Bottling Plant. Ronald Dean Smith and Clarence Massey were arrested after police spotted them in an alley and obtained a search warrant for a suspect’s car trunk. The burglary occurred between 10 and 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. time of discovery was 1:55 a.m. Wednesday. Both suspects are held on twin burglary charges with bonds set at $5,000 each.
