Park Supt Donald Dayton announced the annual bat flight breakfast at the Cavern entrance for Thursday. Hours are 5:30 to 7:30 a.m. with adults $1.25 and children under six free. Bats begin at about 5:30 a.m. and increase to roughly 6:45 a.m. The return flight is mainly a sound experience as bats dive from heights into the opening. Reeves County Commissioners adopted the 1973 budget after a public hearing, with total evaluated value $88,267,000 and estimated tax revenues of $754,682.40 plus about $30,000 in delinquent taxes. The budget includes 99 cents per $100 valuation. Plans were made to pave the courthouse parking lot Aug. 29. County crews will prep the lot this week with mealide and gravel. Roy Lindsay sought approval for sewage facilities in the Lindsay subdivision. state water quality board official James W. Lane inspected and found facilities meet state requirements. There is no pollution danger from existing sewer facilities.

One-Car Crash North of Pecos Injures 1
A Colorado woman, Mary Ann Lopez, 27, sustained minor injuries in a single vehicle rollover on US 285 about 10 miles north of Pecos Friday at 12 42 p m. Her husband Jessie Lopez and four children, Jessie 8 Michael 6 Preme 5 Albert 4, were uninjured. The 1971 automobile left the road struck a highway sign skidded and overturned before landing on its wheels.
