Boston Tenement Fire Kills Eight In Roxbury Section
In the Roxbury district of Boston an early morning fire swept a wood frame tenement killing eight people including five Gomes children aged 1 to 8 and three women. Maria Gomes age 24 and five of her children died. the father Ormond Gomes survived and was hospitalized along with two younger children. Police identified the deceased as Michael 1 Gina 3 James 4 Anthony 5 Zire 8 Alberta Carvalho 60 and Catherine Ahern Hy A neighbor Atanasio Rosa reported the blaze spread rapidly making rescue impossible. Gomes was asleep on the second floor when an explosion and sheet of flame trapped residents.

Missing girls found in closet of house by girl
