Father who believed himself God rules bizarre hotel tragedy
In Salt Lake City seven children aged five to fourteen fell from an 11th floor hotel balcony after their mother Rachel David and the father Immanuel David 39 orchestrated the suicides and deaths. One thirteen year old Elizabeth David survived in critical but stabilizing condition after surgery. The family had lived in a luxury $90 a day suite for 14 months with little schooling and no contact with strangers. The father believed he was God and had taught the children at home. The mother’s role remained under police investigation as witnesses described a chilling scene outside the hotel.

Former Kentucky soldier wins atomic test compensation
Donald Coe a 44 year old former Kentucky infantryman says leukemia from radiation exposure during atomic blasts when stationed at Ft Lewis Wash and at Yucca Flats Nev led to a VA service connected disability award possibly 1000 dollars monthly. The Board for Veterans Appeals reversed a VA denial after lobbying by Rep Tim Lee Carter and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Coe who witnessed 15 to 20 nuclear blasts reports improved health but ongoing neck and eye issues and claims Cooper also won his case but died February 8. The appeals board limited its ruling to entitlement, amount and retroactivity to be decided by a regional board.
