Busy Monday for Pecos ambulances with six calls
Six ambulance calls kept Pecos crews busy in under 12 hours starting at 8:30 a.m. An accident four miles south of town on S H 17 prompted the first run. Other calls sent units to Toyah, FM 1450, Ropers Motel, Hobbs New Mexico, and Balmorhea for injuries and a gunshot victim.

Burglar Hits Buildings on N Cedar Street
Police seek the identity of a burglar who hit two adjacent buildings on the 100 block of N Cedar Street during the night. Tools and a cutting torch were stolen from W E Hamilton Trucking and Reeves County Precinct 4 yard. A county building door was kicked in and tool tracks are being investigated. Loss from the county building is $310. A separate theft of four simulated wire wheel covers from a 1976 Buick at Robinson Chevrolet Buick totaled $224.
