Faulk sues FBI over undisclosed files and Johnson offer
John Henry Faulk, a former 1950s radio commentator later linked to anti communist accusations, sues the FBI and the Justice Department to obtain his complete FBI file. He alleges Lyndon B. Johnson withdrew a job offer in 1955 after reading the file, and says the agency has withheld material including a 1964 St Louis memo. Faulk seeks to protect speech privacy and association rights amid noncriminal file contents.
