Mrs. Herschel Cox of Pecos was elected State President of the Porcelain Art Clubs of Texas at the El Paso convention held April 15 to 18 at the Paso Del Norte Hotel. The event showcased china painting demonstrations and social activities with 32 clubs and about 1800 members.

Asparagus Casserole with Almond Topping Recipe
A layered asparagus dish with almonds, cheese sauce and hard boiled eggs. Asparagus is cooked and drained, almonds are roasted, then a white sauce with cheddar is prepared. Alternate asparagus, eggs and cheese sauce in a baking dish, top with almonds and bake. Makes 4 or 5 servings.
