About 500 people attended the Payson Old-time Gospel Music Festival over Saturday and Sunday. The Payson Chamber of Commerce hosted the event with local acts like the Payson Youth Choir joining professional and semi professional groups on the stage.
Payson opens its Little League season with 110 players aged 9 to 18. Daily practices occur between games as five teams compete. The Rotary Club sponsored team currently leads the league this and last week.
The Town Council received a letter of resignation from Town Clerk Mary Jones but rejected it. The council stated the resignation would not take effect and would require further action.
