Richard Robertson editor and co publisher of the Payson Roundup was named chairman of the new Gila Subarea Advisory Council to the Central Arizona Health Systems Agency CAHSA Howard Adams CAHSA board president announced the plan to split the former Gila Pinal Subarea Council to serve each county separately to improve health planning and care.

Free cold sack lunches with sandwich, veggie, fruit and milk are available to children 18 and under at Julia Randall Elementary 11 30 a.m. to 12 30 p.m. and Apache Indian Camp noon to 1 p.m. No forms, eat on site only.

The Payson Civil Air Patrol announces June classes for residents. Emergency Services sessions run 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the Payson Sanitary District office led by Patrol Commander Allen Carr. Communications classes by John Bennett are Fridays at 7 p.m. Also open to youths 13 to 18 as Cadets with a June 1 special session by Lt Col Cynthia Runciman from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Location to be announced.

The Sanitary District Board approved the 1977-78 budget at a May 19 hearing. Debt service totaling 96260 funds principal and interest on bonds from 1968 and 1972 via a tax levy. O and M 156050 to be raised by service charges tap and connection fees and developer fees. About 20 people protested a rate hike and 200 fee. district needs revenue to qualify for federal funds.
