Two Students From One School in Scholars Program
Two students from Young Public School attended Congressman John B. Conlan's fourth annual Congressional Scholars Program in Washington DC. Christie Carol Cooper and Bonnie Jean Meredith were chosen on merit, first time two peers from the same school earned the honor, with funds raised by the community. The trip included tours of Mount Vernon, the Supreme Court, Arlington Cemetery, the Capitol, the White House and memorials, plus meetings with newsmen, lobbyists and diplomats.
