Payson residents to vote on 25 year APS electric franchise

Voters in Payson are urged to turnout for a special election on a 25 year electric franchise with Arizona Public Service. If approved, Payson would receive about 10 000 annually from 2 percent of APS electric retail sales within town limits. The term allows long range planning and grants APS use of streets alleys and rights of way. Polls open 6 am to 7 pm at the County Administration Building.
