Cement plant zoning blocked again by Payson panel
The town planning and zoning commission again recommends denying a zoning change for a proposed cement plant at 204 West Aero. The action, following a 3-3 council deadlock on Feb. 24, will be reviewed at a 7:30 p.m. special town hall meeting. The project opponents cite health and nuisance concerns while supporters urge relief of competition.
