Peoria Girl Wins Saddle at Payson AJRA Rodeo
LaRae Higgins, 12, of Peoria captured the All-Around Trophy Saddle at the Arizona Junior Rodeo Association contest in Payson. Greg Armstrong of Payson earned a buckle as the sole Payson winner, taking bull riding in the 5 to 12 age group. Higgins led in high point due to goat tying, barrel race, team roping and ribbon roping as youths competed by age group with events sometimes gender specific.
