Up With People cast to perform Sunday in Payson gym
The Up With People youth cast, 80 performers aged 17 to 25, presents two hours of music and dance Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in Payson High School gymnasium. Tickets cost 3.50 for adults and 2.50 for children under 12, with advance sales at local banks and the chamber.

East Verde water system returns to United Utilities
The East Verde Park system serving about 85 homes near Payson was turned back to United Utilities Water Company after the Water Users Association could not finance operations. FHA studies showed 96000 needed for upgrades, cost that led to a cancelled grant loan. sale price was 32000. United Utilities plans to retain the system under court approves its reorganization.
