Four Payson Firefighters Sue Town Over Unpaid Back Pay
Four Payson Volunteer Fire Department members Robert Belk Sandy Rose Vicky Windes and Anne Kuntz filed a lawsuit against the Town seeking back pay for services from July 1 1975 to their dismissal on November 8. They seek three times owed amounts plus attorney fees claiming $150 to $200 each. They contend the Hurst Rescue Tool belongs to a volunteer committee not the fire department and say it must be returned before payment can be made as current chief Charles Jacobs notes. The tool is reportedly held by the committee which included Donald Rose who may file a separate action. The town has until Monday to respond.
