Tonto Land and Investment Company earned a summary judgment from Pinal County Superior Court Judge T J Ma honey against Payson Sanitary District. A damages claim exceeding one million dollars remains pending. original suit by Tonto Land and associates contends subdivision agreements overrode a later resolution imposing a $400 hookup fee. The district plans a review of the decision. No hearing date set for the third claim.
An eight lane bowling alley with a cocktail lounge snack bar and game room is to be built at Frontier and Colcord in the old Bonanza Square facility Payson. The project is led by Bill and Eva Young George and Shirley Halloway and their families from San Diego California. Construction will add a 5 000 square foot building to the existing structure and aims to open early this summer. Assisting the project are James Halloway 21 Diana 16 Janet 23 and Gary Blair 21.
The Payson High School Honor Roll adds six seniors Charles Fruge Lori Harrison Cinda Brunson Cheri Taylor Georgine Fincher and Peggy Massey with GPAs from 1.2 to 2.0. Overall 36 students earned Honor Roll status while seven students made the Principal's List with a 1.0 average.
