Landfill contract awarded to Stamper
The County Board of Supervisors awarded the Star Valley landfill contract to Greg Stamper of Payson Refuse, after previously cancelling a deal with Bill Davenport for noncompliance. The award requires opening within 15 days, with Stamper seeking board guidance on timing as other area dumps remain open. He proposes opening the site only after nearby dumps at Star Valley Payson Christopher Creek Pine and Ponderosa are closed. Dumping stations at Pine Christopher Creek and Strawberry will replace dumps on a fee basis.
