Payson Hospital Auxiliary Hosts Community Tea at St Pauls

The Payson Hospital Auxiliary hosted a Saturday tea at Crawford Hall, St. Pauls Episcopal Church, drawing 31 guests. Father Robert Donovan presented two board plaques to Thora Plummer and Wyvonia Balstad for 1976 service, with Marianne Morrison praising the event and hoping for future annual teas. Floral and linen donations from local businesses supported the event.

The American Legion Post 69 will hold a meeting on February 14 at 6 30 p m at the Payson Womans Club. Members should bring a covered dish and table service for the potluck supper.

Administrator Neil Monaco outlined a $1.2 million hospital expansion with 16 000 square feet of new space and 9 000 square feet renovations. He cited four long term goals including a 20 patient long term care facility and a low income housing unit for the elderly.

Used Clothing Sale At Center A Surplus Cleared

The Community Services Center of the Seventh Day Adventist Church sells a large quantity of used clothing at East Wade and South St Philips from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Small items go for 10 cents and coats and dresses for 25 cents. Proceeds aid fire victims and others in need.
