The Payson Sanitary District adopted a resolution on July 31 prohibiting building new septic tanks and cesspools within the district as a public nuisance. All future structures must connect to the district sewer system though earlier approved structures may use other satisfactory disposal methods. Town policy remains unchanged. The board also awarded a $57,770 vault waste transfer facility contract to Harvey Anderson Construction, with $50,650 funded by the Forest Service.
