Calf Killing Sparks Charges in Tonto Basin
A Glen Jennings calf killing led to charges against David Kent Mortensen, 19, and a juvenile for possession of marijuana and killing livestock without permission. Mortensen pled guilty in Justice Court, relinquished his vehicle and a firearm, and will reimburse Jennings.

Young 4-H exhibitor wins Shield and Clover at state roundup
Cinda Brunson a 15 year old from Jakes Corner earned a Shield and Clover award at the 1975 state 4 H Roundup on the University of Arizona campus from July 28 to 31. She achieved top honors with a horse demonstration and Dr. Howard Jones state 4 H leader presented the plaque.
