Citizens protest Woodward's Ordinance 212 creating a city sprinkling district. Council explains district funding via frontage assessments, detailing costs and allocations for streets of varying width, with estimates for districts 1 2 and 3 and debate over fiscal impact.
A man was found unconscious at the east end of the house track near the switch. Railway physicians treated him. he had severe bruises, scalp wounds, and an ear torn. He was intoxicated and could not clearly explain the incident, claiming to be a Pony passenger named Presley Dixon, a carpenter, who later wandered the streets.
The Central Lumber and Coal Company proclaims itself the new successor to Wright Wilkie Lumber Company in Payette and Snake River valleys. It promises high quality goods at fair prices, meeting customers at the Payette office, and thanks supporters of the old firm while soliciting ongoing patronage. All debts of the old firm are due.
Notice of dissolution states Atwood Automobile Company dissolved by mutual consent on September first with P. Case and W. D. Case taking over. All firm accounts to be settled by a committee. Re-elected school board members Albert and Patch for another term with 422 votes cast. Other votes listed and comment on turnout. Also notes travel plans of J. H. Anderson and W. C. Harden Jacobsen with horse prospects for La Grande circuit and state fair. Byron Kent’s twenty fifth birthday celebrated by friends. Mass meeting called to organize storage company by North Payette growers. Grace White leaves for Nebraska for winter. Capt. Wells to lecture on army life and Libby prison escape at Emma Theatre.
Saturday evening September 7 the Emma theatre presents Paradise and Purgatory a four reel photoplay inspired by Dante with figures in heaven and hell. Paxton guides the production with added meals and dramatic staging to mark the occasion as memorable.
Mrs. C. A. Compt announces a fall and winter millinery opening with calls to inspect her lines. Also notes at M. E. Church the pastor will be in the pulpit next Sunday morning at 11 and evening at 7. All are invited, with a special service mentioned.
A regular Commercial Club meeting discussed entertainment arrangements for visiting Twin Falls warmers, with a committee named by President and several others appointed to study the state immigration booklet, bank cashiers to assess visiting vendors, and a social gathering planned for the following Monday to continue discussions.
The Methodist Conference at Twin Falls returned Rev A L Howarth to Payette for a third term, praising his two years as pastor and predicting greater achievements with support from many friends. A Boise District appointment and a Boise church shift are noted amid local social events, including a Miss Ethel Venable shower with gifts and refeshments.
The Enterprise force is adjusting to a new location near the post office while moving a printing plant. Delays in job work persist for a couple of weeks but are improving. A phone number remains available for contact and services, and staff expect to finish the move soon.
The Portia Club invites members to a Picnic at the home of Se it K Carland on September 9 1912. Members urged to bring someone with them and arrive promptly at two o clock. New members solicited to help obtain a new year book and support the club.

Luther French at Idaho Oregon Light Power Co suffered a severe scalp wound from a falling cross beam but is now able to be around. G A Mann of New Plymouth broke both bones in his right wrist. sought care and returned home the same day. Frank Crighton and BE Pounder swapped ownership of a 120 acre Big Willow ranch and Pounder received the residence on the west side of Payette. Idaho Northern began regular service Emmett to Montour and Horseshoe Bend with daily trains except Sundays. Dr J C Woodward leaves for six months study in Mayo Rochester and New York City. Spanish War Veterans plan reunion at Soda Springs Sept 18-25 the first in Idaho. Duck season opened Sept 1 with good early bags. Payette Rod and Gun Club reported strong shooting. Rex and Mrs Hoggemeier moved to 641 North Sixth Street. German Ladies Aid bazaar set for Thurston next Saturday. For sale S pint-blood spaniel puppies C E Dixon at Fifth and Sixth North.
Local notes show Jobin Orrell staying with his parents in the city and Joan Holm visiting from Whitley Bottom. Payette residents Erastus West and W F Wilson of Emmett were in town for business while several teachers attended a Boise training institute. The McCoy family welcomed a baby, Minnie Fasting arrived from Mallard Wisconsin to visit, and typhoid fever sidelined Dr Haley in Boise Hospitals.
