Five Weiser prune growers arrived in Payotte to settle with a distributor over their 192% crop. Their balance was stretched by freight, and after a long day they trudged along the street. William Bulmer dies in Eugene after long illness

William Bulmer aged 66 dies at his daughter’s home in Eugene Oregon after a long illness. Survived by wife four sons and two daughters. Born in York England, lived in Beverley prior to emigration to America in 1881 and later moved to Payette. Funeral held November 22 with Masonic Lodge at Masonic cemetery.

Fitch and Jones Collision Near Fruitland

A Sunday morning collision north of Fruitland between B R Fitch and Mr Jones caused substantial damage to both cars. Witnesses said high weeds blocked the view of approaching traffic, injuring none but causing Burt to suffer a neck injury that popped back into place. Fitch’s car was towed to Payette for repairs.

The local telephone office employer hosted a pheasant feed at Lola Nell Gorton’s home. Attendees included Floss Christensen, Anna Good, Maude J. Leaves With Carload Poultry From Payette to Los Angeles

Earl Dibble heads to Los Angeles with a carload of live poultry shipped by C. H. Bowman & Son. This is the second poultry shipment from Payette, about 5000 chickens in the car. Dibble, experienced in poultry, will handle feed and water during the transit in a specially built car with a small apartment for the caretaker.

Engine crew James Hutchinson and U S Donal fireman on the P V are laid off this week not by request but because they have exceeded the monthly mileage limit of 3500 miles as allowed by the company.
