Payette man J W Prestel suffers apoplexy at office
J W Prestel a prominent Payette businessman collapsed from an apoplexy Friday afternoon at the mill office. He was taken to Woodward Hospital, where doctors are fighting to save him. A slight improvement was noted midweek, but his left side remains paralyzed. He is past seventy, with family at his bedside.

The Public Library announces hours Monday Wednesday and Saturday from 4 to 6 p m for borrowing books and submitting applications. The Free Traveling Library is located there. Little Nora Buxton Dies At Boise
Nora Buxton eight year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Chas Buxton died at a Boise hospital from Haemophilia after a recent pneumonia. She had nosebleeds and a bleeding tooth prior to death. The body was taken to Cromwell Iowa for burial following services at the Christian church. J Barry, Payette Valley Railroad official, bought a forty horsepower Mitchell automobile.

On Tuesday evening May 28 at the Erma Theatre a thousand feet of film will be shown depicting the wreck of the Titanic. The Nin presents the vessel leaving Southampton and includes scenes of lifeboats and the Carpathia rescuing survivors.
