Payette residents recall the October 1907 gas blowout as crews prepare to resume sinking the gas well at the Payette site within two weeks. A car of coal has been ordered to power operations and other arrangements are in place to reach a conclusive depth.
Sunday February 25 opening trapshooting season drew local sportsmen to the range despite gusty wind and rain. Sol Catron, 16, son of Dr H B Catron, nailed 20 of 25 targets on his first outing with No 6 shot under his father's 20 gauge gun. Scores show several veterans pacing, with a club trophy planned for season awards. Family notices report a Payette resident’s emigrant car departure for Pombeck Iowa and the Pleahn family departing Payette, selling their home to W J Reimers. Fernald Walter Parks Jr of Nogales, Arizona, died in Pasadena February 18, leaving widow and unnamed brother.
A Portland Tacoma Seattle dispatch notes 445 332 live hogs moved north in 1922 to slaughtering plants as drought hit the middle west. Value around 20 dollars per hog, with millions sent to the northwest due to Idaho Washington and Jarm not meeting hog production. Idaho 1916 hogs sold at 18 dollars, decline until 1921 then rise, counts 13 777 in 1921 and gains in 1922, highlighting northwest importance to regional markets.

Monday evening February 26 1925 Lorraine Chapter No 20 Order of the Eastern Star celebrated its 24th birthday with a 6:00 dinner. Grand Matron Ann Haley and Sister Minnie Letson attended with Past Matrons and Patrons from Idaho Oregon. The room glowed with star emblems, pink rose buds for ladies, and an illuminated star dome. The program included greetings, solos, and the mystery tie ceremony followed by gifts and notable attendance from visitors Wm Ryder Parma Major and Mrs Burns Boise Mrs Lang Parma Edwin White Parma Mr H D Jackson and Mrs Jenness Idaho.
Willow Grange holds a Friday meeting with Mrs Horton arranging a program. The discussion focuses on fixing roads to Payette River via Syme's corner and Mr Harper's place, opposing travel schools and expert work, and criticising taxation by politicians and grafters. The Payette County Grange Quarterly meeting is announced for March 10 in Payette.

Builders Ball and Ralph Zee plan a card party Friday. Marvelous Marvella plays Emma Theatre March 8. Ed Forbes returns home after Boise hospital stay. Fresh vegetables advertised at Anson Hart Grocery Co. The Press Committees announce a portia club fundraiser card party March 16. Surprises promised for Golden Rule day next Tuesday.

March 5 and 6 showcase Frank Mayo in Quiet Without Flu, March 7 and 8 Maree Prevost in Thin Beautiful and Damned, plus Pathe News and Comedy.
Gilbert Peterson and Miss Nels De Arieond wed in Yale Oregon on Friday the 16th and traveled to Salt Lake, returning to Payette where they were greeted with an old fashioned reception at the C. H. Robertson home. The couple then attended a theatre party and celebratory dinner hosted by David Peterson, with guests including local families and business associates. The wedding mirrors community festivities and the Petersons plan to reside with C. H. Robertson for now.
